Schedule Change Regarding Offsite Power Systems Gentlemen:
Reference (b) requested information from Maine Yankee concerning the design basis of the offsite power systems and a statement of Maine Yankee's position regarding FSAR Criterion 39 and General Design Criterion 17. Maine Yankee is reassessing its position regarding the design criteria as interpreted in Reference (b).
Reference (b) requested that Maine Yankee respond within seven days of the date of the letter, November 28,1996. By phone communications on November 27,1996 and on December 2,1996, Mr. D. H Dorman was made aware that Maine Yankee was unable to meet the schedule requested in Reference (b).
Maine Yankee has not yet been able to complete the reassessment of the design basis of the onsite and offsite power systems within the time requested and plans to submit its response to the Staff by December 13,1996.
