ISSUE A FEDERAL REGISTER NOTICE ON FINAL REVISION TO POLICY STATEMENT ON ABNORMAL OCCURRENCES The staff obtained Commission approval in the SRM on SECY-96-193 dated November 7,1996, to publish the final revision to the abnormal occurrence (AO) reporting policy. We have attached for final processing a Federal Reaister Notice (FRN) announcing the final revised A0 criteria and the Congressional letters.

Attached are the FRN as a final document for the Secretary's signature, five additional copies of the final document, a marked-up copy indicating final i

changes made to the FRN attached to SECY-96-193, and a Wordperfect file of the document on a 3.5-inch diskette.

Please make the necessary final coordination in order to dispatch the FRN and the attached Congressional letters.
