s Thank you for speaking with me yesterday on the telephone. As I indicated, we represent Kansas Electric Power Cooperative, Inc., which owns six percent of the Wolf Creek Nuclear i
Generating Station.
According to a memorandum in the Wolf Creek public file dated October 9,1996, i
representatives of Western Resources, Inc., met with you and other NRC staff on September 19, l
1996, concerning Western's proposed takeover of Kansas City Power & Light Company. We are interested in keeping abreast of future meetings with NRC staff, future filings made by Western, or actions by the NRC concerning that proposed takeover and the change to the Wolf Creek license that it would require.
I To that end, we ask that you place our firm on a standing distribution list to receive all notices, memoranda, orders, and other public documents prepared by or issued by the NRC conceming the merger ofWestern and KCPL. Please direct such documents to William T. Miller and me at the above address.
