INSPECTION NO. 70-1257/96-205
Dear Mr. Femreite:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted a routine inspection of your facility's material control and accounting (MC&A) safeguards program on November 4-7,1996. The inspecticn consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations of activities in progress. The scope and results of the inspection are summarized in the enclosure, which also includes details of the inspection.
At the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with members of your staff. Within the scope of the inspection, no violations were identified. However, one deviation itern and two inspector follow-up items (IFls) were opened for further tracking and evaluation. Moreover, four IFis from prior inspections were closed, while one previously identified unresolved item and two IFis were left open.
i Under the provisions of Section 2.790(d), reports containing information related to a licensee's MC&A program are exempt from public disclosure. Accordingly, the enclosure will DDI be placed in the Public Document Room.
