Dear Dr. Jeffries:
I am responding to your letter to Leonard J. Callan of January 27, 1997, requesting a nominee from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (NRC) to se:ve on the American Nuclear Society (ANS) Executive Conference Review Comittee.
I am pleased to nominate Thomas T. Martin to serve as the NRC representative. Mr. Martin is currently the Director.of the Division of Reactor Program Management in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.
His extensive experience in both Headquarters and regional reactor programs will 3
be an outstanding asset to your comittee's work.
Although Mr. Martin would be representing the NRC on this comittee,' his participation would not connote agency agreement with,~or endorsement of, decisions made by the comittee or products approved and published as a result of the comittee's efforts.
