This letter refers to your January 31,1997 correspondence, in response to our January 7,1997 letter.

l Thank you for informing us of the corrective and preventive actions documented in your letter. These actions will be examined during a future inspection of your licensed j

program.

However, in the attachment to your cover letter, there were statements which indicated that, when disposal of your Pu-Be neutron source is completed, licensed material will no longer be possessed under your current license, if that is the case and if you wish to terminate your license, you are required to request such termination in accordance with 10 CFR 70.38. Copies of 10 CFR 70 and NRC Form 314,

" Certificate of Disposition of Materials", are enclosed for your information.
