Dear Mr. O'Hanlon:
Our response dated January 23, 1997, to your letter dated January 2,1997,
requested that you revise the response to Violation B from NRC Inspection
i
Report Nos. 50-338/96 10 and 50-339/96 10. The revised response needed to

include the results of the Maintenance Rule Self Assessments as it applies to
i
North Anna. This revised response was to be forwarded to this office by
February 28, 1997.
During discussions conducted between Mr. D. Sommers of your staff and me on
February 18 and 19, 1997, you requested an additional extension until
March 10, 1997. The extension was requested in order to fully coordinate
response efforts relative to Maintenance Rule development and implementation
for North Anna.
Based on your request, an extension is granted until March 10, 1997.
