1.
During a steam generator blowdown following a MSLB. the pressure drop across a tube support plate will be determined by the flow distribution across the plate.
The potentia'i for multidimensional flow exists and may be especially important at the uppermost tube support plate because of the difference in flow resistances between flows parallel and perpendicular to the tube bundles.
The flow resistance will be direction and position dependent at the tops of the U tubes. Assess the impact that multidimensional flows have on the pressure drop across the tube support plates.
