Dear Mr. Spath:
This is to confirm my telephone call to you in late October 1996 concerning your October 17,1996 letter. In your letter, you requested an extension to the comment period for the implementing Procedures for the Final Policy Statement on Adequacy and Compatibility of Agreement State Programs. In my telephone message,I informed you that we would not be able to extend the comment period.
I encourage you to submit as soon as possible any comments you may have. If received this week, it will be possible to consider your comments as a part of the first draft of our analysis of comments. We plan to finalize this next week. In addition, as you may be aware, we have received comments from Ms. Rita Aldrich, Principal Radiophysicist, State of New York Department of Labor (NYSDOL), dated November 12,1996. These comments are being included in our analysis of comments.
