ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT BEING PREPARED FOR THE BABCOCK AND WILCOX'S PARKS TOWNSHIP SHALLOW LAND DISPOSAL AREA I
Dear Roundtable Participant:
i l am writing this letter to inform you of the current schedule for the completion of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Parks Township Shallow Land Disposa! Area.
Enclosed with this letter is an updated schedule which lists the date for the publication of the Draft EIS as March 1997. This date was extended due to additional work needed for some of the analyses and conflicts with other projects. Although events may arise which could alter this schedule, I will strive to meet this deadline.
A 90-day public comment period will fol:aw publication of the DElS. We plan to hold a roundtable meeting approximately 30 da/s efter the DEIS is published. In this meeting we l will summt.rize the conclusions of the DEIS, receive preliminary comments, and answer questions concerfdrg the DEIS to assist the public in it's continued review. You will receive an invitaum and an agenda prior to this meeting.
