BWR OWNERS' GROUP TOPICAL REPORT, NEDC-32160P, " CALIBRATION INTERVAL EXTENSION," DATED DECEMBER 1992 (TAC NO. M85776)
Dear Mr. Donovan:
By letter dated June 13, 1996, the staff issued a status report on its review of the BWR Owners' Group (BWR0G) topical report NEDC-32160P, " Calibration Interval Extension." The staff's review concluded that the extended surveillance intervals proposed in NEDC-32160P were inadequately justified by the topical report evaluations and by the additional data and analyses provided in the BWROG's responses to the staff's requests for additional information.
During management meetings between the NRC and the BWROG held on July 10 and October 23, 1996, the BWROG discussed the status of the topical report and stated that it would arrange a meeting with the staff to discuss the open items described in the staff's status report. To date, the BWROG has not arranged a meeting with the staff, nor has it provided an indication of a time frame for addressing the open issues. This lack of activity leads the staff to conclude that the topical report is no longer being actively pursued and we intend to terminate our review of NEDC-32160P unless we hear from you within 30 days.
