A large volume of oil entered the Wastewater Treatment System and overloaded it. The source of the oil and grease is unknown.

[ M ECTIVE ACTION:

Attempts are being made to identify the source of oil and grease inputs  !

into the Wastewater Treatment System. I The oil and grease was pumped out of the clarifiers and oil separator pits. The oil absorbent booms in the clearwell and effluent chamber were replaced.

Efforts are also being made to restore the polymer systems to an operable condition.
