The changes are also proposed to incorporate information gathered by NSP 'during its self-assessment Service Water System Operational Performance Inspection (SWSOPI) completed in late 1995. In order to review the proposed changes to the design features section of the TS the staff requires additional ,

In justifying the deletion of information presently contained in the TS design features section, NSP stated in its November 6, 1996, submittal that the i deleted information is or will be appropriately controlled. Please provide more specific information related to the deletion of this information. By letter dated November 6, 1996, Northern States Power Company (NSP) i submitted a request to amend the Technical Specifications (TS) for the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2, to improve plant operation based on operational experience with the vertical motor-driven cooling water pump. The changes are also proposed to incorporate information gathered by NSP during its self-assessment Service Water System Operational Performance Inspection (SWSOPI) completed in late 1995. In order to review the proposed changes to the design features section of the TS the staff requires additional information.
