The source designs have been tested by the source manufacturer and found to meet or exceed ANSI classification of 77C64343. Specific ANSI classification for each source model can be found in the appropriate registry document. LFE policy dictates that all sources must, at least, achieve the above ANSI classification.

The model designation S-10 applies only to sealed sources distributed in LFE gauging devices which have been approved by the NRC. These devices may be distributed to both general and specific licensees of the NRC or an Agreement l State.

These sources may be approved for extended leak test intervals of up to three l years when installed in LFE Corp gauging devices which have been approved for l licensing purposes by NRC. SUMMARY

l Based on our review of the information and test data cited below, that the source design was approved for licensing purposes and that this amendment changes only the Amersham sealed source designs acceptable for distribution by under the model designation S-10, we continue to conclude that the series source design is acceptable for licensing purposes. Furthermore, we continue to conclude that the source design would be expected to maintain its containment integrity for normal 4 conditions of use specified in this certificate.

Furthermore, we conclude that these sources would be expected to maintain their containment integrity for normal conditions of use and accidental conditions which might occur during uses specified in this certificate.
