This letter acknowledges receipt of letter dated August 15, 1996, from .

j Dr. Richard Faw, which transmitted changes to the Emergency plan for the l Kansas State University Triga MK. II Nuclear Reactor Facility submitted under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(q).

Our initial review of these changes indiates them to be in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q). Implementation of these changes will be subject to inspection to confirm that they did not decrease the overall effectiveness of your emergency plan.

In accordance' with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of the letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
