SUMMARY

OF MANAGEMENT ACTIONS 1.

Initiatives Taken The following list is a synopsis of initiatives by Maine Yankee:

o Completed audit on PharmChem Laboratories in Texas.

o November changed labs to PharmChem Laboratories in Texas.

Administrative Action A licensee supervisor was notified that an employee was to go for a random test. The supervisor o

got busy and failed to notify employee.

- Was given a written reprimand.

o A licensee employee was found positive on a Follow-Up Test. Disciplinary procedures were followed which included termination for a second positive. The person was not a supervisor or an operator.

Continue program review with a focus on program effectiveness.

IV. Effectiveness Evaluecion o

The Maine Ys nkee FFD program continues to effectively meet both the requirements and intent 4

of 10CFR26. The flexibility of the program enhances the company's ability to effectively ensure the safety of employees and to emphasize the importance of the FFD program.
