This letter submits a revuion to the Reed Reactor Facility Security Plan, two copies of which are enclosed as Attachmer.2. Attachment i explains each change, paragraph by paragraph. Deleted text is shown in strikeet. Added text is shown in boldface.
l Comments are shown in a box like this. l The major revisions to the Reed Reactor Security plan include 1) physical changes to the facility due to recent construction activities,2) adding the restroom and stairs to the Temporary Controlled Access Area,3) changing the sequence of calling in response to an alarm, and 4) allowing the flexibility for Reed Security to assume responsibility for monitoring the alarm system.
Also, in order to improve the readability of the plan the document has been reformatted and annotations in the text that indicate the revision date have been removed. The abbreviations for compass directions have been spelled out.
These changes result from recommendations following an audit of our Acurity Plan by our oversight committee, the Radiation Safety Committee. This revision har be approved by that committee.
These changes do not decrease the effectiveness of the Security Plan.
