This letter transmits Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation's (WCNOC) sixty day response to Generic Letter 96-05,
" Periodic Verification of Design-Basis Capability of Safety-Related Motor-Operated Valves."_
WCNOC has reviewed the Generic Letter and will implement the requested actions contained therein.
The current periodic verification program in use at WCNOC, will be amended or enhanced, as necessary, to reflect the guidance-of the Generic Letter.
The scheduled completion date for-the implementation of any identified program enhancements is March 17, 1997.
A written summary description of the final periodic verification program established at WCNOC will be included in the 180 day response to Generic Letter 96-05.
