A routine safety inspection was conducted on August 5-7, 1985, of the Univer-
sity of Lowell Reactor Health Physics and Readiological Controls program.
Atecs examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspec-
tion Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the in-

spection consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
