t NRC-32-83 682 Modification No. 23 Page 2 of 3 The p rpose of this rrodification is to (1) extend the period of performance (2) add rate of payment for:CY'1997 and (3) provide incremental funding in the amount of $21,000 for CY 1997. As a result of this action, the total amount obligated is $225,500.
Accordingly, the following changes are hereby made:
1.
Article III - PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE, Paragraph A. is revised to read as follows:
"A.
The period of performance hereunder shall connence on January 1, 1983 and shall continue through December 31, 1997, unless sooner terminated or extended, as herein provided.

Article V - {:0NSIDERATION AND PAYMENT, Paragraph A., Consideration.
Paragraph 1., is revised to read as follows:
"1.
The Commission will provide funds, subject to the availability of appropriation, to the State in the amount of $225.500 during the Fourteen (14) year period of performance. The rate of payment to the State for calendar year 1997 is as follows:
CY-1997 - $16,000 per site (1), per year for EM Programs i
CY-1997 - $ 2,500 per site (2), per year for TLD Programs" "3.
The amount presently obligated by the Commission with respect to this cooperative agreement for the CY-1997 effort is $21,000.
The total amount ODligated since inception of this agreement is i
increased by $21,000 from $204.500 to $225,500."
All other terms and conditions under this Cooperative Agrr...inent remain unchanged.
