By letter dated August 23,1996, Southern Nuclear requested a technical specification amendment for Farley Units 1 and 2 to allow the use of an elevated tubesheet sleeve. An interim amendment was approved for Unit 2 based on an agreement that Southern Nuclear would submit technical specification amendments for Farley Units 1 and 2 for all laser welded sleeves follow ~mg the completion of the Unit 2 outage.
The laser welded sleeve amendment for Farley Units I and 2 was submitted by letter dated January 10,1997. Consequently, approval of the Unit I submittal dated August 23,1996,is no longer required and is withdrawn.
