Dear Mr. Terry:
In a telephone conversation on February 4,1997, Mr. Thomas Meadows made arrangements with Mr. Matt Sunseri, Director, Nuclear Training, for the NRC to inspect the I
licensed operator requalification program at the Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station.
l The inspection is planned for the week of April 28,1997, which coincides with your j
regularly scheduled requalification examination cycle. The staff at your facility should l
prepare and conduct the requalification examinations in accordance with your NRC-approved requalification program.
In accordance with 10 CFR 55.59(c), the NRC may request facility licensees to submit l
their comprehensive requalification written examinations or annual operating tests as necessary to support the NRC's inspection program needs. In order for tho NRC to l
adequately prepare for this inspection, please furnish the documents listed in the l
enclosure. Mr. Sunseri has been advised of this request and provided with the name and address of the NRC lead inspector assigned to this inspection.
The request for requalification examination materialis covered by Office of Management i
I and Budget (OMB) Clearance Number 3150-0101,which expires on April 30,1997. The l
