NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 999-90002/96-10
Dear Mr. Lilly:
On December 19. 1996, the NRC completed an inspection at the Pinkerton Chevrolet Geo facility in Salem. Virginia. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection, which were discussed with you on December 19, 1996 following the inspection.
During the inspection, records were reviewed and procedures were discussed with personnel related to the loss of two generally licensed static elimination devices. The NRC notes that Pinkerton Chevrolet Geo promptly reported these losses to the NRC. initiated contact with former body shop employees that resulted in the recovery of one of the missing devices and has discontinued the use of generally licensed materials. thus preventing the possibility of additional losses in the future. In view of these considerations, the NRC has decided that this licensee-identified and corrected violation meets the criteria for being characterized as a Non-Cited Violation, as described in Section VII.B.1 of the " General Statement of Policy and Procedures for NRC Enforcement Actions." (Enforcement Policy). NUREG -
