I Date: Tuesday. November 11:44 am Subjects Kurth AMS Report I have just a few comments on the Letter and Report:
- 1) Please add J.R. Goldberg, OGC to your list of bec w/ encl. In the letter to Mr. David Cesar.
- 2) The language dealing with the effective date of 10 CFR 20.2003 may need to be amended on pages 2 and 8 of the Report.
New Part 20 was made mandatory on January 1, 1994.
However, licensees could voluntarily abide by new Part 29 as of the new Rule's effective date, January 1, 1992.
Please check with Bruce Berson on appropriate language related to this description of effective vs.
mandatory.
- 3) Also on page 8 I would add a footnote to the reference of nanocurles since the remainder of the Report discusses picoeurles. A footnote converting picoeuries into nanocurles would be most helpful.
