l The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), as part of its responsibility of l regulating nuclear power plants, periodically evaluates the performance of its l licensees through a program called the Systematic Assessment of Licensee '

Performance (SALP). Through this program, we-review and evaluate our licensees' performance in the four major categories of: Plant Operations, Maintenance Engineering, and Plant Support. The Plant Support category J includes an assessment of licensee performance with regard to emergency i preparedness.

This SALP meeting is scheduled to be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the main conference room of the North Anna Information Center at the site. The proposed meeting with you and other local and State officials will be conducted in the Cinemax Room in the North Anna Information Center shortly

after the conclusion of the SALP. Your schedule permitting, we look forward 4
