Dear Mr. Bindon:
This letter is in reference to our telephone conversations on August 1,1996, and September 20, 1996, regarding data on failure types and rates for Trijicon's tritium gunsights, and information regarding your recommended mounting procedures.
The information requested will be used to determine whether there are any generic trends that can be identified in the failures of tritium pistol and rifle gunsights, and will look into areas such as, whether any identifiable trends point to design, mounting, mounting procedures, or misuse as a contributing factor in the failures, and whether there is any trend in the statistics to show that the failures were primarily due to a single cause or were randomly distributed.
