I am responding to your letter of November 1, 1996, in which you submitted 4
materials about Cease Fire dry, non-toxic fire extinguishment equipment. We appreciate your interest in the issue of fire protection at nuclear power plants and thank you_ for the information on your products.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission does not approve products for generic application.
Our review of nuclear power plant components, structures, systems, and parts is performed within the scope of nuclear power plant-specific applications after the nuclear utility has selected the item and determined that it meets NRC regulations.

application at Yucca Mountain.
