Dear Sir:
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act as amended (5 U.S.C.
552).
I write to request a copy of Nuclear Regulatory Commission investigative reports stemming from allegations made in February of 1984 by Mrs. Vera English of Wilmington, N.C.,
that employees of General Electric Company's Nuclear Fuels Manufacturing Division in Wilmington, N.C.
violated NRC regulations in the handling of radioactive materials.
Should there be no final reports in the above-referenced NRC
'nvestigation, I request preliminary reports generated by the NRC.
i The FOIA provides that if only portions of a file are exempted from release, the remainder must be released. I therefore request that I be provided with all non-exempt portions of the reports.
I reserve my right to appeal the withholdinc or deletion of any information.
I am prepared to pay reasonable costs for locating the requested files, copying them and mailing them to me at the address listed at the top of this request. The amended act provides that you must reduce or waive fees if it is stin the public interest because furnishing the information can be considered as primarily benefitting the public.it I believe this request falls within that category because the information sought will be incorporated in news reports h0hh4850314 BELEWBS-176 pyg NY

The GE nuclear plant is located in this region and any NRC action pertaining to the facility is vitally important to our readers. I therefore request you to waive all fees.
