' Based on our review of the current documents on the NRC home page and my i

staff's recent discussions with you and your staff. I suggest the following changes and additions to the NRC home page:

Add a link to the INEL home page which contains lists of low-level waste.

(LLW) guidance (http://www.inel. gov / national / national.html).

Information on State LLW activities is also available on this home page.

Information on LLW activities in States and compacts and a map of the 3

compacts are available from the LLW Forum, which is currently considering a home page.

The NRC home page shoula reference the LLW Forum home page when it is available.

Add the current list of NRC's Decommissioning Regulations and Guidance.

This list is available electronically from Nick Orlando (415-6749).

4.

Add a current list of Site Decommissioning Management Plant (SDMP) sites, which includes Maff contacts.

Information on these sites can be i

4 found in the latest Commission paper containing the biennial update to the SDMP (SECY-96-207).

The staff contact is David Fauver (415-6625).

5.

Add the " Draft Branch Technical Position (BTP) on Screening Methodology for Assessing Prior Land Burials of Radioactive Waste Authorized under Former 10 CFR 20.304 and 20.302" to the NRC home page.

This BTP will be available soon for public comment. The Federal Reaister Notice will mention the availability of the BTP on the NRC home Jage.

The electronic version of the BTP is available from Heatler Astwood (415-5819).
