i This is to confirm that the Commission has granted your request to participate in the Briefing on Maine Yankee scheduled for j
l 9:30 a.m.,
Tuesday, February 4, 1997.
The briefing will be held in the Commission's Conference Room on the First Floor of l
headquarters building at One White Flint North, Rockville, l
Marylaad.
l As discussed with Ms. Kristin Smith of your staff, you should i
limit your oral presentation to 5 minutes or less.
If your

-statement is longer, please submit it in writing and verbally summarize it within the 5 minutes allowed.
Since there will be l
other speakers, we strongly ask for your cooperations to adhere l
to the 5 minute limit.

In order to provide the Commission an opportunity to prepare for your presentation, please send 10 copies of your written material, including any briefing visuals, to Mr. Hill by Monday morning, February 3.
If you prefer, you may fax your material to Mr. Hill at _ (301) 415-1672.
We also require approximately 90 copies of your material on the day of the meeting for members of the public.
If you are unable to provide these copies, please advise us.
The Commission meeting facility has a sophisticated television graphics system.
For optimum use, we are enclosing guidelines for preparing your briefing visuals.
The system is unique, and you should follow the enclosed instructions closely.
Should you require additional information on the format for your viewgraphs, please contact us.
Our experience suggests that it is desirable to preview your visuals on our system several days prior to the I
meeting if possible.
Normally we anticipate that a member of your party familiar with your presentation will be in our Audiovisual Room to display your visuals.
If this is not possible, we require a copy of your full l
written presentation and visuals as discussed below.
One set of the text and visuals should be appropriately marked to indicate l
when your speaker desires each visual to be displayed.
Your cooperation in this matter is requested so we can provide smooth 7[/

Our office is located adjacent to the White Flint Metro Station on Rockville Pike and Marinelli Drive.
The White Flint Station is on the Red Line of the Washington area subway system.
The trip from Metro center takes about 40 minutes.
There is reserved
-f visitor parking for Commission guests in the building garage.
Entrance is at the rear of the building.
Please check with the security staff at the entrance to the garage when you arrive.
If you plan to use reserved parking, it would be helpful if you notify us in advance.

t GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR VIEWGRAPHS 1.
Arrange all visuals in a 3 by 4 configuration (e.g.,
3 units in the y-axis and 4 units in the x-axis).
This will conform your visuals to the 3 by 4 television monitors.
l 2.
Limit your alphanumeric script to 13 lines vertical and 40 characters horizontal per lines.
3.
Type sizes are BOLD 30-point for titles and no less that BOLD i
20-point for body text.
Use no less than BOLD 24-point for 3
body text if lower case letters are used.
4.
Maximum image area of 6-(vertical) by 8-inch (horizontal) on i
8.5 x 11 sheet of paper.
