Enclosed for ycar information is a copy cf the subject Commission Paper that was made publically available January 30 1997, at the Millstone 3
Commission Briefing.
I direct your attention to page 8 of the Commission Paper, the third full paragraph.
In that paragraph, the opportunity for the Nuclear Energy Advisory Council (NEAC) to recommend one or two systems for review by the Independent Corrective Action Verification Program (ICAVP) is extended to the NEAC.
As stated in the Commission Paper, the NRC will consider including one or both systems recommended by the NEAC in the ICAVP review.
