Dear Mrs. Roughan:
This letter is in response to your letter dated April 12,1996, requesting that the Gamma Industries Model 1006A and Model 1006B gauges be transferred from registration certificate LA-300-D-150-S to registration certificate NR-628-D-130-S.
As discussed in our phone conversation on December 6,1996, clarification is needed to i
continue the review of the Amersham Model 1006B and Model 1006A source rods and the
- Gamma Industries Model 1006A and Model 10068 gauges.
- 1. During our phone conversation, it was unclear if the Amersham Model 10068 source rod goes in to the Gamma Industries Model 1006A or 10068 gauge. Please clarify and provide any additional drawings.
- 2. DWG 821-1050-006 is marked as confidential. Since this drawing is necessary to perform the safety evaluation of the Amersham source holder, you will need to submit a formal request,'in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 to withhold it or indicate any references to confidential should be disregarded .
- 3. Please provide the maximum length of the Amersham Model 1006A and 1006B source rod when fully extended. In addition, provide the minimum and maximum l specification for the source capsule, including length, inside diameter of thread, and material of construction.
