(" Great Bay") Interest in the Operating License Gentlemen:
I am writing on behalf of Great Bay Power Corporation (" Great Bay") concerning the request filed May 8,1996 by North Atlantic Energy Service Corporation for the NRC's consent under 10 C.F.R. S 50.80 for the indirect transfer of control of Great Bay's interest in the Seabrook Operating License to a new holding company. The May 8,1996 application identified the name of the new holding company as " Great Bay Holdings Corp." However, Great Bay was informed by the State of New Hampshire subsequent to the filing of the application that this name could not be used because of another legal entity in New Hampshire of the same name. Accordingly, the name of the new holding company has been changed to "BayCorp Holdings, Ltd." Everything else concerning the restructuring and the new holding company, however, remains the same as described in the May 8,1996 application and subsequent supplements. The new holding company is the same identical company but with a different name. The change in the name occurred several months ago, and it was simply an oversight that the NRC was not advised sooner, for which Great Bay apologizes.
Great Bay received yesterday the NRC's order approving the indirect transfer that referred to the new holding company as Great Bay Holdings Corp. (prompting cognizance of the oversight) instead of BayCorp Holdings, Ltd. We believe that order still remains valid since the sum and substance of the holding company remains identical. To reflect the correct name of the holding company, however, we believe that the NRC should issue f
