REVISED REVIEW SCHEDULE FOR V0GTLE. READINESS REVIEW MODULE NO. 3A - INITIAL TEST, PROGRAM (PREOFERATIONAL TEST PHASE) s ,-

Subsequent to the Georgia Power Company.(GPC) presentation of the subject module. <

on May 14,1985, Region II technical staff determined upon initial review that <

certain discrepancies existed primarily in Sections 3.4 and 3.5. Based on ,

statements of the licensee the discrepancies were attributed to data processing errors experienced during the reproduction process and were unknown to GPC Readiness Review management at the time of the module presentation.

Our review of the revised pages submitted indicates some additional review will be required althouSh little impact to ongoing review work is anticipated.

Furthermore, the revised submittal apparently does 'not affect the basic module tenclusions. In view of the additional review required however, an extension to the existing schedule is granted. Key interim and final reporting milestones will be extended for approximately 30 days as indicated on Enclosure No. 1, Vogtle Readiness Review Program Review Schedule (Revision 1).

Comments on tne dates identified in these enclosures should be directed to the Vogtle Project Section by COB August 14, 1985.

Unrescived discrepancies will be transferred for followup to the Vogtle Readiness Review Program Outstanding Items List.

• All discrepancies or findings which are identified during technical review as being potential items of noncompliance should be referred to Region II for a final determination of noncompliance.
