Dear Ms. Garde:
This is in response to your letter dated June 19, 1985, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (F0IA), all records relied upon by Mr. William Dircks in his analysis of the Quadrex Corporation's analysis of the South Texas plant, including infomation generated by Mr. Dircks or staff comments sent to Mr. Dircks about the Quadrex Report.
The staff has informed us that they have not located any documents subject to your request. We have been informed, however, that the NRC's report, NUREG-0948, "Special Inspection Report of the Quadrex Corporation Report on Design Review of Brown and Root Engineering Work For The South Texas Project-Units 1 and 2," which consists of more than 425 pages, addresses the general subject of your request. A copy of this report is available for public inspection and copying at the NRC Public Document Room.
