Thomas, Chief Standardization and Special Projects Branch Division of Licensing Re: University of Florida Training Reactor Facility License: R-56, Docket No. 50-83
Dear Sir:
The enclosed Page 12 of the UFTR Technical Specifications contains a change necessitated by a typographical error incor-porated in the typing of Amendment 15 to the UFTR Technical Specifications. Specifically, Page 12 (part of Amendment 15 changes) contains Section 3.4 Limitations on Experiments. As in-dicated in the original new UFTR Technical Specifications trans- '
mitted with your letter dated August 30, 1982, granting a 20 year ,g license renewal, this Page 12 should read Section 3.5 Limitations on Experiments. The corrected section number is marked with a vertical.line in the margin to provide easy reference. As ex-plained above, this error was introduced in typing the proposed and later approved Amendment 15. This error was discovered only upon a careful reading of the Technical Specifications relative to approving a new UFTR experiment. Normally, licensed personnel would refer to Section 3.5 without noting the incorrect Section number; hence the error remained unnoted until now.
This correction corrects a typographical error whose only significance is that when Section 3.5 is referenced elsewhere in the Tech Specs, it is difficult to find until the reader notes the mislabeled Section number 3.4 instead of 3.5. This change as requested is not considered to have safety significance but is necessary to maintain complete correct Technical Specifications and so we request its approval. The UFTR Reactor Safety Review Subcommittee concurs on this evaluation.
The entire enclosure consists of:
- 1. Three (3) sigr.ed originals and nineteen copies of this letter of transmittal.
- 2. Twenty-five (25) copies of the proposed changed page 12 with change location noted with a vertical line in the margin.
