Dear Sir:
Limiting Conditions for Operations (LCO) 3.7.9 of the Tr:j n Technical Specifications require that a special report be provided if certain fire barrier penetrations become nonfunctional and cannot be returned to functional status within seven days.
During construction activities on September 19, 1985, on the forty-five foot level of the Trojan Control Building, portions of the masonry used for. fire protection on structural steel was removed from two support columns. The required compensatory actions were performed. The protec-tive encasement will be restored during the course of the construction activities with an estimated completion date of November 15, 1985.
