Dear Mr. Keppler:
Toledo Edison has been submitting the Safety-Related Piping System Support and Hanger Discrepancies Summary Report for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1 on a weekly basis to your office. These discrepancies have been identified by Toledo Edison as a result of either walkdowns conducted on the AFW Pump Turbine Steam Supply (AFPTSS) piping system following system actuation, torquing conducted under the AFPTSS piping system concrete expansion anchor bolt torque testing program, the Quality Control Baseline Inspection of the AFPTSS piping system hangers and supports, or inspections of the AFW piping supports in the AFW rooms.
No new discrepancies were identified on safety-related piping system hangers or supports from July 25, 1985 to July 31, 1985. Accordingly, there are no revisions to the last summary report submitted to Region III in Toledo Edison letter Serial No. 1-556, dated July 26, 1985. As discussed with Messrs. B. Burgess and I. T. Yin of your Staff on July 31, 1985, future correspondence discussing these weekly summary reports need only be submitted if additional support or hanger discrepancies are identified.
