Dear Mr. Gross:
This is in response to your letter of June 14, 1985, to the NRC's Division of Contracts, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), copies of the contract and bid abstract for the NRC's most recent court reporting and transcription services contract (NRC-17-85-394).
As. agency policy, copies of all contracts routinely are placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PCR) when a contract is awarded. A copy of this contract is available for public inspection and copying in the PDR,1717 H Street, NW, Washington, DC, filed under contract number NRC-17-85-394.
The staff-in' the Division of Contracts has ' informed us that the bid abstract you requested is not availabli, as they are not required for Requests for Proposals. A bid abstract is,only required for an Invitation for Bid.
