Subject:

Waterford ) SES l Docket No. 50-382 License No. NPF-38 Monthly Operating Report 1

Gentlemen:  ;

Attached is the subject monthly report which covers the operating statistics for the month of December,1996. This report is submitted per Section 6.9.1.6 of the Waterford 3 Technical Specifications for Facility Operating License No. NPF-38.

It has been recently discovered that information submitted in the monthly operating reports for August,1996 through November,1996 is in need of correction. An alternate reactor power indication (FWBSCAL) was utilized while investigating problems with the primary indication (MSBSCAL). This was initiated on August 22nd, and the primary indication was not restored until November 24th (reference k Condition Report 96-1299). FWBSCAL, which was in use for approximately 95 days, (

was overly conservative by approximately 1.7%. An adjustment has thus been made to the reported thermal generation and average power level data for the affected ,

months and is provided in the table below. The Corrected T entire year, including Year-To-Dates and Cumulatives, for full clarification of the ,

affected data. / j i
