i Note to files: 70-1489 SNM-1461 EXTENSION OF EXPIRATION DATE - GOODYEAR AEROSPACE CORPORATION i
By letter dated July 23, 1985, Goodyear Aerospace Corporation requested that the termination date of Materials License SNM-1461 be extended to April 1,1986.
The license was issued to Goodyear for centrifuge development work at their j Advanced Technology Center near Akron, Ohio. The development work has been
- terminated and Goodyear plans to decontaminate and decommission the facility prior to April 1,1986. After decontamination and decommissioning Goodyear will request a close-out survey by NRC and license termination.
l The material permitted by license at the Goodyear facility is limited in 1 quantity and is composed only of depleted, normal, and low-enriched uranium.
Decontaminatiori and decommissioning of the facility should present no new or unusual problems to the Goodyear staff. No significant hazards to the staff 1
or the public during these operations are expected and there should be no environmental impact.
