THE NRC'S 7th WORKSHOP ON VENDOR OVERSIGHT DATE AND TIME: June 23, 2020; 10:00 am - 1:15 pm (Eastern Time (ET))
June 24, 2020; 10:00 am - 1:15 pm ET June 25, 2020; 10:00 am - 1:15 pm ET LOCATION: Virtual online via WebEx and bridgeline for audio PURPOSE: Due to concerns regarding COVID-19 and the importance of social distancing, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission is holding its Seventh Workshop on Vendor Oversight virtually. The purpose of this Workshop is to bring together Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff, regulated utilities, vendors of nuclear components, and other interested stakeholders to discuss vendor oversight issues. Topics at this workshop will include Part 21 guidance (Regulatory Guide 1.234); international vendor inspections; compliance with Appendix B to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 50 through the use of codes and quality standards; commercial-grade dedication; and controlling a commercial item under an Appendix B program among others. The NRC anticipates presentations from the NRC, International Regulator, the Electric Power Research Institute, Luminant Power, Paragon, Sargent & Lundy, Curtiss Wright, and NuSource. NRC staff will be available at the end of each workshop session for additional discussions.
