INSPECTION REPORT 85-03 RESPONSE - INFORMATIONAL UPDATE Consumers Power Company submittal dated April 1, 1985 and entitled " Inspection Report 85-03 Response" provided our response to a deviation from a previous commitment (50-155/85-03). As part of.our reply, we stated the following:
"We are currently in the process of revising the Radiation Safety Plan and intend to maintain a surveillance program as part of the plan.
Although the program will not involve the Corporate Office, the major parts of the program will still exist and involve a cooperative effort between Palisades and Big Rock Point."
In the revision process of the Radiation Safety Plan,Section X (Surveillance Program), was deleted in its entirety and the following was added to Section II, Item 2.2.C:
" Audits and surveillances of the Radiation Safety Program shall be carried out in accordance with NODS-QO2. The Corporate Health Physicist may be utilized as the technical expert member of the audit or surveillance team, as needed. Additionally, the Corporate Health Physicist and plant health physics personnel shall respond at the request of anoths* plant's health' physics staff to provide program reviews and advice relating to the requestor's Radiation Safety Program."

Big Rock Point IEIR 85-03 Response September 23, 1985 communicate with Mr. Paul Lovendale of the Region III Staff. Based on our conversation with Mr. Lovendale, it was decided that this was not a-change in commitment but an' informational letter would be appropriate explaining the change.
