This final report is in reference to the po t ent ially reportable Significant Deficiency relating to the wiring workmanship on the Gould 480 V Motor Control (MCCs).

This item has been reviewed by the BV-2 Senior NRC Res ide nt inspector.

The results of this review have been documented in NRC Ins pe ct ion Report 85-04, dated April 23, 1985, wh ich fo rmally closes the item.

The basis for closure is detailed in the inspection report, but can be summarized as fo l lows.

The co r rect ive ac t ions to remedy the deficiency have been fo rmalized by ins pect ion plan (1.P.)

" Inspection of Ve ndo r Interal Wiring" and by Appendix N to engineering spec. 2BVS-931, " Workmanship Program fo r Ve ndo r, Internal, Class LE Low Voltage, instrumentation and Control Wiring, Inspection, Acceptance, and Repair / Rework Co nt r o l. "

The program is about 82 percent complete, with scheduled completion set for the the requirements of 10CFR50.55(e), it is anticipated end of June. Pursuant to that this will be the final report on this matter.
