i, July 18, 1985 TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN This letter authorizes Transnuclear, Inc. to apply for an export license to cover the following material:
164,000 Kgs Uranium as UO2 Pellets was originally enriched to a maximum 2.83% U-235 (Maximum 4641.2 Kgs U-235).
The material is being shipped to Cogema, Pierrelatte France, where it will become a part of the Cogema inventory. Cogema mailing address is Establissement DePierrelatte, BP 16, 26700 Pierrelatte, France.
Once the material arrives at Pierrelatte, it will either be converted down to natural uranium hexafluoride gas (conversion work by Comurhex in Pierrelatte), or remain in UO2 form as pellets or powder. Material may eventually be sold by Cogema for use in European, Canadian or U.S. power reactors.
The shipper of the material will be Babcock & Wilcox, Lynchburg, VA.
