Dear Mr. Denton:
This letter is being submitted pursuant to 10 CFR 50.62 concerning inplenentation schedule of the A'IVS requirements.
The issuance of Reference 1 set a date of October 13, 1985 for the submittal of this information.
Kansas Gas and Electric Conpany (KGGE) is currently considering several design modification options offered by various vendors.
Three of the modification options under consideration were developed through the Westinghouse Owner's Group and have been submitted to the NRC via Reference 2 for review and approval on Jtily 25, 1985. It is our understanding that the submittal is currently under review by the staff with an SER issuance target date of mid-lbvenber.
0 on issuance of the SER, KG&E will conplete its evaluation of the design modification options and select the design that is best for Wolf Creek Generating Station.

refueling.
