Mr. John P. Claassen has been designated Reactor Manager / Supervisor in place of Mr. Alan J. Blotcky who has retired from service at the
- Omaha VA Medical Center.
l Mr. Claassen has worked at the facility as a Research Physicistms' ce February,1989. His principal duties here involved reactor operations and medical research. In addition, Mr. Claassen also has served as assistant to the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) under the Medical Center's broad scope license.
On July 2,1990, Mr. Claassen received a Senior Reactor Operator's license (#43518).
Since then, he has acquired more than 5,000 operational hours including over 1000 approaches to l power and scheduled shutdowns. He has also served as Reactor Manager \ Supervisor in Mr. Blotcky's j absence and is thoroughly familiar with the federal regulations pertaining to this facility.
