This is in response to your December 5, 1996, request that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) recommend that the President include the Senior Executive Service (SES) in the 1997 national comparability pay adjustment.
I appreciate your concerns regarding pay for the SES and its implications for the morale of Federal executives, overlap with the General Schedule, and 4
i comparability with the private sector.
I am pleased that the President did in fact approve a 1997 comparability pay adjustment for the SES. Thank you for the information you have provided.
