The Commission was briefed on the status of recent OIA information developed during their investigation at Grand Gulf.

OIA-and OI will continue the investigation into the matter.

OIA noted that it might be necessary to advise Congress that new information makes it necessary to correct previous information given to Congress. The Commission agreed that i

The Commission was briefed by the staff on their preliminary 9;2ws regarding possible enforcement action against Mississippi

'cwer and Light Company for violations involving material false statement. -

The Commission requested that OGC respond to the petition from'Jacksonians United for Workable Energy Policies based on input from OIA.

The Commission requested the staff to examine the contents of a' letter.from Congressman Markey on July 30, 1984 and consider them in a proposed enforcement action if approprf. ate.

The staff indicated that it would submit a recommended enforcement package to the Commission in 2-4 weeks.

Commissioner Bernthal asked that he be provided with a broader summary of the comments made by Mr. DeYoung reflecting on the generic difficulties of licensees and utilities' understanding and carrying out the details of their license and technical specifications.
