Dear Mr. Ross:
The purpose of this letter is to provide you an update on two of the 10 CFR 2.206 Petitions that you have submitted.
Specifically, the Petitions dated January 5 and 15, 1995 (supplemented February 8 and 20, and October 14,1995).
The January 15, 1995, Petition provided additional information, which the NRC requested, regarding your October 28, 1994, Petition.
In letters to you dated February 23, 1995, the NRC staff acknowledged receipt of the Petitions.
i Your two 10 CFR 2.206 Petitions are being reviewed by the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation. While it is not possible to accurately predict when the NRC's review will be complete, my estimate is that the Petition dated January 3
5,1995, should be issued by the end of January with the remaining Director's Decision to follow by the end of the first quarter of 1997.
